Northern Neighbors Quilters (NNQ) have constructed their 17th annual Can-Am Raffle Quilt. The quilt measures 90"x90". This dazzling quilt was hand pieced by members of NNQ of Fort Kent and surrounding communities. It is titled 'Loon Lodge Trails' and was designed by Bonnie Brown Hunter of Pembrook, ME. It was machine quilted by Amy Shannon from Lee, Maine. It features the Can-Am Crown Logo designed by Absolom (Smitty) Dow.
Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 7 for $5.00 (all funds taken at par). The quilt will be displayed at the Fiddlers' Jamboree, Sunday, March 3, 2019 on the UMFK campus where tickets will be available.
Members of NNQ have tickets to sell and we will be situated at Key Bank and Lonesome Pine Ski Lodge on the day of the races-March 2, 2019. We will also be at the 30 and 100 mile Awards Breakfast on Sunday, March 3 at Lonesome Pine. We will be at the Skijoring events at the Ft. Kt. Outdoor Center (former 10th Mt. Lodge) on Sunday, March 3. The drawing will take place at the Can-Am Crown 250 Awards banquet on Tuesday, March 5 at the KC Hall in Fort Kent where tickets can be purchased until time of drawing.
Proceeds benefit Can-Am Crown, Comfort Quilts for 5 or more organizations, the local food pantry, etc. Thank you for your continued interest and support.
